This desert mallow is a beautiful gray perennial that blends into the sagebrush scrub until summer when it colorful reddish orange ball of fire flowers fire off. Flowering has occured here from June through December, I guess we confused it. Native from Lassen County through the drier parts of Washington to Utah. Use in a sunny rock garden or to add spice into a native garden that has a spot that's too hot and dry for anythingselse.
