Description

Antirrhinum coulterium, Coulters snapdragon is another one of the many plants that is not supposed to be living on the Santa Margarita nursery site, but it is here. One of those surprise! Guess what I am, plants. This annual wildflower is supposed to range from Northern Santa Barbara county(Eastwood 1906) to Baja, but some appear here on an occasional basis. This interesting annual appears after fires or when you kill the weeds out of an area. Antirrhinums needs clean weed free soil to grow and commonly follow wildfires.
