A 2-3' perennial subshrub with 1" reddish orange flowers on leafy spikes. Native to Placer County, Californi, to Canada and Wyoming. Use in dry rock gardens,dry borders, desert gardens, mountain gardens. It flowers from May 'till August (remove old flower heads for longer flower period). It is stable here in the ground and in containers. Easy for us.
