Description

An evergreen shrub 4 12', dioecious, smooth, gray-green leaves. Native to dry slopes bordering Mojave Desert and throughout S. Arizona. It likes full sun, no water after established. It has an edible oil from fruit. It is cold tolerant to 17 deg. F.. If your ground freezes regularly forget this plant. It needs rock mulch if you live in one of the few spots (like ours) that has extreme summer temperatures and no summer rain.
