A perennial, flowers yellow, May-July, blue-green leaves in rosettes, rocky places, mountainous areas of Calif., sun to part shade, water sparingly except in winter-spring. Set plant at an angle so water drains off crown. This plants are usually native on rock faces that are spring feed or rainfall moist much of our winter and spring. In spring they are bone dry. Their common companion plants are mosses and liverworts.

Sedum spathulifolium tolerates sand, clay and seasonal flooding.

Flower of Sedum spathulifolium has color yellow.
