A deciduous shrub that grows to 3-6 ft.. It has rose flowers in spring. Native to east slope Sierra Nevada up into Nevada. It likes sun, dry conditions, and good drainage. It has a beautiful flower show. I've seen many photos of this taken by people who had no idea what it was. A decent wildlife plant. Water it for the first summer and then ignore. If you live in the lower desert you'll probably need to give it a little more water. (But not much!) We saw it around Mono Lake growing in full sun growing with Grayia spinosa, Artemisia tridentata, and Elymus cinereus.
Prunus andersonii Desert Peach's foliage type is deciduous.
Prunus andersonii Desert Peach's flower color is pink.
