See Arctostaphylos glauca for horticultural information. I found this plant on a customer's property southwest of Paso Robles California. The house site was carved out of a stand of almost solid Arctostaphylos glauca. So far as I could see no other species is on the site. Arctstaphylos glandulosa is the only other species within 10 miles and I saw none. This bush was on the edge of the clearing. All bushes of A. glauca were mature, 10-12' high. 'Dwaine's Dwarf' was only 6' tall. Its leaves were 1"long and 1/2"wide and the same gray in appearance as A. glauca. Its bark was identical. Its seed was a smaller size of the same solid seed. The look was very similar to 'Sentinel' but a little more upright, narrow and shiny. Native on CLAY-SHALE.
