Description

Native from S. Dakota to southern California to B.C., A 1 ft. perennial with 2-3 inch, pale lavender flowers. Grows at higher elevations, in mountainous areas of California, emerges through snow in spring. Grows in sunny, open, moist areas such as meadows, surrounded by forests. In our garden these do not spread beyond the watered areas. [MEADOW in assoc. with FIR,YEL,DOUG]
