Description
A rare plant from coastal sand dunes. We grow this for site- specific plantings to mitigate new construction. (Those of you that oversee these jobs should know that most of the time the plants themselves come back well from the roots if any can be left on site.) In the nursery here it seems to be stable in containers and in the ground. I would not be surprised if it was hardy to -10 or lower. It is native on pure sand. I've not tried it on other soils yet..(Although it is ok here in clay-loam.) pH 5-7 in sand.
