Description

(Cupressus arizonica ssp. nevadensis)This small tree grows in the mountains of Kern County. Fast to 20' then slowly to 30'. Very grey foliage. It was -15 F on the site where these grow this year. We are growing them for some of the soil conservation district sales. In the wild it looks like Arizona cypress its close cousin, as it grows amongst granite boulders. A rare plant.
