An evergreen tree to 50ft (not in your lifetime, maybe your kids or grandkids). A slow growing cypress. It might be a bonsai candidate. A very tough cypress that belongs in tough situations. It is best in good drainage with some water until established. We have never had cold damage. It is serpentine tolerant has gray foliage and cherry red bark. The form on this is not symmetrical. It will kind of sprawl sideways as it works its way upward. It is one of the grayest cypresses. In a bad location, such as some of serpentine or volcanic outcroppings, this plant excellent. A rare plant.
