This small, perennial with beautiful, divided leaves will grow in coarse, sandy loam soil. Sanicle does poorly in deep soils where alien grasses bury it and is recommended for an undisturbed, weed-and-grass-free, woodland garden. Grows best in interior areas of California. POISONOUS
