This hedge nettle is native to moist spots in much of California. A good plant to put under the bird bath. Stachys will grow to the edge of the moist spot. The fuzzy foliage is much like lamb\'s tongue or a grey velvet. Don\'t plant in a regular\' garden as it will completely take the yard.(I can hear the bugle as it charges across the yard.) Hummingbirds and butterflies like. Excellent for a rock stabilizer in the drainage ditch, this plant can turn a ditch into a stream bed\'.
