Description

Trichostema parishii, Mountain Blue Curls, has a more open flower arrangement than T. lanatum, Woolly Blue Curls. It has more delicate, dainty flowers than its more robust relative. Mountain Blue curls is also more drought tolerant than Woolly Blue Curls. It is also only half as big making it fit better in smaller gardens. Because of its lac of pinkish fuzz (wool), it appears more blue. (Sorry to keep comparing the two but that is usually what people ask about.) Mix with Artemisia tridentata, Ceanothus greggii, Sphaeralcea ambigua, Lonicera denudata, and Rhamnus californica tomentella.
