Rubus parviflorus
Description
Thimbleberry is a woodsy berry that grows in forests where there is shade and moisture. Looks similar to the Ribes san. glut. and often grows near it. I've seen it in the Sierras at 5000-8000' and in the Redwoods. Both places were spongy wet. Our 'mother' plants in the nursery are dark green and luxuriant in part to full shade and regular water. (Under a Spitzenberg Apple.)
