Description

A deciduous shrub to 3-5'. Looks very similar to R. sang. glut.. Use as a higher elevation form of same. This plant should be used as a pink show case around a mountain cabin. Native to 4000-8000' throughout California. It will flower April to July with 6" hanging pink cascades. We have seen this in the Tioga Pass area, on Bear Mountain, Tehachapi, and above Fraizer Park. All are doing fine there. This is one of those plants that can grow in creeks or not. It survives drought well but can grow almost in standing water. It has done fine here.
