Knobcone Pine is a 50 ft green pine. Native in mountains of Calif., Ore.. Knobcone Pine likes fertile soil and regular water. It is native where the rainfall is 30+ inches. It is useful because it is a small tree. It will normally stay 15-20' tall. We had trouble with it for years until we put it in with other oaks and pines. Plant it in groves with other pines, oaks, cottonwoods, or firs. They now look like nice little pine trees. In our county they grow on a chalky mountain top at 2500'.

Foliage of Pinus attenuata has color green-gray and is evergreen.
Flower of Pinus attenuata has color na.
