Description

An annual lupine with violet flowers, found in open areas and also after burns. Truncate leaf lupine seems to like serpentine areas where there's a little soil on top of rock. Lupines fix atmospheric nitrogen, (increases the fertility of the soil) integral to plant community, seeds eaten by California quail.
