This Lupinus arboreus shows the mix of yellow and blue flowers. - grid24_24
A 4-5' perennial. The flowers are blue to yellow on 6" spikes. The foliage is dark green. It has very rapid growth. It grows from Ventura into Ore.. This plant is an aggressive seeder and should not be planted where it cannot be controlled, cold tolerant to 10-20 deg.. Drought tolerant to about 15" of rainfall. The British recommend it for coastal plantings.

Lupinus arboreus tolerates seaside conditions and sand.
