Description
Fern bush grows in rocky places in the sagebrush, pinyon-juniper and other mountain communities from California to Utah, Southeast Oregon, Idaho and down into Arizona. Aromatic herbage and a pretty white flower. Related to Mountain Misery, looks and smells similar, but a little easier to grow. Funny, remove the snow off of Mountain misery and the two look identical, until you dissect the flowers and fruit.
syn. Spirea millefolium,
Chamaebatiaria glutinosa, Sorbaria lillifolium, Basilima millifolium, Spirea glutinosa.
