Description

Licorice Mint is a perennial with whorls of lovely rose-colored flowers and a delicate fragrance. Best in sun if you want to attract the butterflies. This is a hardy perennial, that is very happy in a regularly watered garden, or just near a bird bath. One of the best butterfly nectar plants we stock. Mostly found in woodland or forest, but grows in many types of plant associations in California from the southern California mountains to the coast ranges, and the Sierra Nevada mountains and foothills. Many kinds of adult butterflies love the flowers for their nectar.
