Mail order shipping Information

Holidays

If the week contains a holiday, we'll check UPS to make sure there is at least a one day buffer in shipping.  If there is not, you'll receive your plants the next available full week. If the Holiday is in the middle of week(July 4) , we may skip the week. We try to get the plants to you as soon as possible, but setting in the sun in Tuscon or snow in Denver is not something our plants need to experience.

Where do we ship

We only ship plants within the continental United States.

We DO NOT SHIP to AL, ARK, DE, FLA, GA, IN, KY, LA, MISS, TEXAS, TENN, WV.

Oregon, and Virginia we will still attempt to ship to, but there is a $25/per order phytosanitary charge that needs to be acknowledged before we can ship your plants.

Shipping Charges

Our shipping charges are as follows.

Handling charge(gathering, bagging, boxing plants and driving the 25 miles into UPS) is $18 per order.

Then, depending on your shipping location, there is a shipping charge per plant. This is listed in the table below.(Remember, we're shipping bowling balls, not ping pong balls.)

Taxes

There is only sales tax if you are located in California.

Oregon and Virginia.

If you live in these states there is an extra $25 dollar fee. This fee is for a phytosanitary certificate from the California Department of Food and Agriculture demonstrating that the plants are free of brown snails. (brown snail quarantine). This is required by certain individual states.

Payments?

Visa, Mastercard or mail a check. Also, there's an order form you can use to fax/mail in your order, with credit card number. (It goes into the office with the dog under it, very secure.) The online order goes through Mal's Ecommerce, a secure drop box for credit cards, wonderful for small businesses with retail stores. Mal's allows us to do mail order in a safe and secure manner.

When do we ship?

We ship every Monday (or occasionally Tuesdays when overwhelmed), to prevent any delays that could possibly happen that might keep your plants in shipping over the weekend.

How do we ship?

We ship via United Parcel Service. The gallon sized plants are shipped with soil, we do not ship bare root. The plants weigh between 3-4 pounds each.

Plant Size

We only ship one gallon sized plants.

All I want to know is HOW DO I ORDER?
Go to the individual plant page, look down the page and click on "Get this plant online, or buy this plant" put in the number of plants you wish to buy, put in where you are and click recalculate. Anytime you wish that you wish to quit and pay, go to payments and that will lead you out, or continue shopping and continue to add plants until your run out of money, or we run out of plants.

A busy week in our packing shed.
