Moving a Serpentine seep.

This project was done as a San Luis Obispo mitigation.

Serpentine Wetland- central California coast ranges-

We removed a number of serpentine seep endemics from the path of a road and extended an existing serpentine seep to accept them. The water from the first seep was moved to the second seep.

We created the second seep by building a series of Infiltrator® chambers across a slope a level as we could build them. This created an artificial 'seep' or 'spring' for us to plant the plants back into.

The major determining factor in this successful restoration of wetland habitats: was control of alien species. We found the contractor could over spray with a light mix of  Rodeo, natives didn't die, weeds did.
