I live
in a condo with a small balcony and would like to encourage
butterflies, birds, and hummingbirds to "visit me."
And I want to use native plants. Greg Rubin suggested that I
check out your website for info on container gardening but I
didn't see anything on that. Any suggestions?

- I
live downtown San Diego and would like to put some native plants,
preferably flowering plantsin planter boxes that will hang on my
railing. Can your plants survive in planter boxes? I do have the
time to treat them as instructed (watering, etc.). The area is
full shade all year round.

Hello! What a
FANTASTIC site - full of information! I'm interested
to know if e. (Epilobium)Californica
/z.(Zauschneria)Californica is a good candidate to
grow in a pot? If so, what type of potting soil
should I purchase?

It's not bad, but needs regular water
and part shade or at least afternoon
shade.. Not for reflected
sun. Any potting
soil. Look at Mattole
River, Zauschneria sept.
