Wand sage is a 4 foot tall gray shrub with white flowers. It has very long, wand-like flowers that rise high above the short mound of gray foliage. It is found in the Colorado and Mojave deserts in full sun. Wand sage requires excellent drainage, and no summer water. Wand sage is evergreen but like many desert plants it may die back some during dry spells. Hummingbirds and butterflies use this sage as a nectar source. Click here for more about California Sages
