(Arctostaphylos parryana var. pinetorum) A very intriguing shrubby manzanita that is native in the pines (P.coulteri, P.jefferyi and P. ponderosa) down into the desert interface where it mixes with Adenostoma sparsifolium, Penstemon centranthifolius, Artemisia tridentata and Eriogonum fasciculatum var. polifolium. Conditions range from north slope to full desert sun. VERY beautiful. Red bark, dark green foliage and pretty flowers are stunning. The forest in Julian is in sharp decline in part because the manzanitas have been removed and weeds,(including 'color' plantings) put in their place. This manzanita is one of the ones to plant back, along with Arctostaphylos parryana, Arctostaphylos glauca 'Ramona', Arctostaphylos glandulosa adamsii and Arctostaphylos otayensis.
Arctostaphylos patula platyphylla Julian Manzanita Cuyamaca Manzanita's foliage type is evergreen.
Arctostaphylos patula platyphylla Julian Manzanita Cuyamaca Manzanita's flower color is white.
