Description

(Epilobium californica) The pink form of California fuchsia grows in part-shade in most areas, full shade in the interior heat, full sun in cool summer areas. To make it simple, full sun and regular water in San Diego, LA and San Francisco; part shade and regular water in Riverside, Paso Robles, Redding and Livermore; full shade and regular water in Palm Spring and Ridgecrest. Mother plant is more than 15 years old here and slowly spreading. Mix with Achillea, Juncus and Carex for a north moist wall or partially shade creek. The pink form of California Fuchsia is also used by the hummingbirds.
