Description

Sand almond is a deciduous sub-shrub up to three feet tall. It has small white flowers in spring and, later in the year, small almonds. Sand almond is native to southern San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County. It is used in revegetation and sand dune stabilization. Sand Almond should be considered for a wildlife garden. Sand almond likes full sun, and sandy soil.
