A rather large perennial with 3"-6" coarsely serrated to smooth leaves arising in a clumping manner from a 1-2' base. The flowers are hot pink on spikes to end up being 3-4' tall. It needs sun, good drainage (no standing water), and little water. It grows in an area that gets 10-15" of rainfall. This plant is very showy in its native range of the White Mountains just north of Death Valley.
