Description
An interesting rush, a creeping dune dweller that grows near marshes from B.C. to South America and along the California coast. This would be a good plant to help stabilize sandy soil. In a normal garden it grows up into a basket rush, three feet high, tight with sharp tips. Useful to plant in that narrow strip between you and the lawn of the jerk next door. Tolerates very high salt, but grows fine in most conditions including near full shade. Needs regular water.
