Las Pilitas Nursery
California Native Plants are all we grow!
The flattest of the Mtn. Lilacs. Rare, CNPS 1B, R-E-D 3-2-3 State-Fed CR/C1. A very nice little plant. Has some drought tolerance but prefers afternoon shade, good drainage, and 1/week water. NOT EASY, nor fast, but excellent in a smallscale for growing between rocks.or over a wall. A Ceanothus found at the 900' elevation of the Sierra Nevada foothills. Ceanothus roderickii has tolerated sun here and regular water, tolerated the cold well, but it is not super vigorous.
