NOT EASY, nor fast, but excellent in a smallscale for growing between rocks.or over a wall. A Ceanothus found at the 900' elevation of the Sierra Nevada foothills. Ceanothus roderickii has tolerated sun here and regular water, tolerated the cold well, but it is not super vigorous.
