La Panza manzanita is a hybrid of Arctostaphylos silvicola and Stanfordiana Bakerii. The foliage starts out a velvety gray and becomes a smooth clean gray with age. We've only started growing it in 2003, so far it is a neat mound of gray green that grows in full sun, needs little water and no care. After five years it has grown into a three foot or so high shrub and is attracting notice from the few customers that wander by. Big enough to not be stepped on, small enough to fit.
